Why private for kids

All the mat time,
none of the chaos.

You stay in the room

Every session, start to finish. You see exactly what your kid is learning, no drop-off, no glass wall.

45 focused minutes

All of it your kid's, not split across twenty kids. That's where real progress comes from at this age.

Bends to your kid

Shy or high-energy, it works either way. The session fits your child instead of the other way around.

Confidence and safety

Discipline, focus, and calm practical self-defense, taught without aggression and earned, not handed out.

A kids' session

How it runs.

01

Warm up and play

Movement games that don't feel like drills. Kids learn fastest when they're having fun and don't realize they're working.

02

One or two moves

A couple of positions taught clearly and repeated until they own them. Mastery over cramming.

03

Calm self-defense

Simple, practical tools for staying safe and in control, without teaching kids to hurt anyone.

04

A win to take home

Every session ends on something they did well, so they leave proud and want to come back.

Parents' peace of mind

You're in
the room.

Every session, start to finish. No drop-off, no wondering what happened, no stranger you never met working with your child behind a glass wall. You watch your kid get better in real time.

Parent questions,
answered.

What ages do you teach?
Ages 4 and up. Sessions run 45 minutes because that's honestly where a kid's attention span lands, and one on one means the whole 45 minutes is actually theirs.
Does a parent stay?
Always. A parent or guardian stays on-site and in the room for the entire session, every session, no exceptions. You see exactly what your kid is learning.
My kid is really shy (or really hyper). Is that a problem?
No. That's the advantage of private over a big kids' class. The session bends to your kid instead of the other way around. Shy kids warm up without a crowd, high-energy kids get a place to put all of it.
Is it safe?
One on one with a coach watching every rep is about as controlled as it gets. We drill slow, there are no rough live rounds with bigger kids, and your child is in control the whole time.
What should my kid wear?
To start, comfortable athletic clothes, shorts and a t-shirt or rash guard. No gi needed for the first session. If they stick with it I'll point you to what to buy.
Will this help with confidence and bullying?
That's the part most parents come for. Jiu jitsu builds real confidence because it's earned, not handed out, and it gives kids calm, practical tools to protect themselves without throwing a punch.
